Gandaki Province Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament Kicks Off

Pokhara – The second Gandaki Province-level Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament has officially started in Pokhara. Organized by the Gandaki Provincial Cricket Association, the tournament is being held at the cricket ground in Pokhara Stadium.

On the opening day, Kaski and Nawalpur began their campaigns with victories. Kaski defeated defending champions Syangja, while Nawalpur triumphed over Parbat.

In the first match, Kaski edged out Syangja by 4 runs. After losing the toss and being put in to bat, Kaski posted 95 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

In the second match, Nawalpur secured a dominant 46-run win against Parbat. Chasing a target of 77 runs, Parbat was bowled out for just 30 runs in 9.5 overs. Ayusha Chapagain starred for Nawalpur, taking a match-high 5 wickets and earning the Player of the Match award.

The tournament will run for three days and features participation from four districts.
