Nepal chasing modest target of 98 against Scotland; Sandeep takes 4 wickets

Kathmandu – In the ongoing Tri-Nation T20I Series in Scotland, the host team has set a modest target for Nepal.

After losing the toss and being put in to bat first, Scotland were bowled out for just 97 runs in 19.4 overs. Nepal is currently chasing a target of 98 runs.

For Scotland, Michael Leask was the top scorer with 46 runs off 46 balls, including four fours and one six. Captain Matthew Cross contributed 15 runs, while Brandon McMullen added 10 runs.

For Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane delivered a brilliant bowling spell, taking 4 wickets for just 11 runs in his 4 overs.
Karan KC and Dipendra Singh Airee picked up 2 wickets each, while Lalit Rajbanshi took 1 wicket.

With this match, Karan KC reached the milestone of 100 wickets in T20 International cricket, becoming the second Nepali bowler to achieve this feat.
Previously, Sandeep Lamichhane had become the first Nepali player to take 100 T20I wickets.

Nepal is currently batting in pursuit of the target.

Earlier, Nepal lost their first match of the series against the Netherlands in the third Super Over, after a dramatic tie.
