Syangja Registered 114-Run Victory Over Parbat, Jyotsnika Named POM

Pokhara, June 30 — In the 3rd Gandaki Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament 2026 played on Tuesday, Syangja Women defeated Parbat Women by a massive margin of 114 runs.

After Parbat won the toss and elected to field first, Syangja posted a formidable total of 163 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

For Syangja, Jyotsnika Marasini played an outstanding innings of 60 runs off 36 balls, including 8 fours and 1 six. Rabina Budhamagar scored 21 runs off 33 balls with one boundary, while Armina Adhikari contributed 19 runs off 17 balls. Simana K.C. added 11 runs from 19 balls, while captain Kusum Goddar scored 9 runs off just 4 balls with 2 fours. Serina Thapa remained unbeaten on 7 runs off 10 balls, while Jenisha Khatri was unbeaten on 3 runs off 6 balls. Syangja also received 33 runs in extras to finish on 163/5.

For Parbat, Jenisha Sharma claimed 2 wickets for 18 runs in her 4 overs. Dipika Sapkota took 1 wicket for 31 runs in 3 overs, while Anusha Poudel also picked up 1 wicket after conceding 31 runs in 3 overs. Jibika Chhetri claimed 1 wicket for 26 runs in her 4 overs. Krisha Akheli, Bipasa B.K., and Sushila Bhattarai remained wicketless.

Chasing a target of 164 runs, Parbat were bowled out for 49 runs in 17.2 overs. Dipika Sapkota was the top scorer for Parbat with 20 runs off 39 balls, including 4 fours. Anjal Adhikari added 15 runs off 41 balls with one four, while Anjal Pariyar scored 5 runs off 15 balls with one boundary. Oskarika Malla, Sushila Bhattarai, Jibika Chhetri, Yogita K.C., Bipasa B.K., Krisha Akheli, and Anusha Poudel failed to open their accounts. Jenisha Sharma remained unbeaten without scoring. Parbat collected 9 runs in extras.

For Syangja, Simana K.C. delivered an outstanding bowling performance, taking 4 wickets for just 8 runs in 3.2 overs. She also completed a hattrick. Ranjana Saud claimed 3 wickets for 8 runs in 3 overs. Rabina Budhamagar took another three wickets, conceding only 4 runs, including one maiden, in her 2 overs, and also completed a hattrick. Niru GT bowled 2 overs, including one maiden, conceding just 1 run. Aakriti Tiwari conceded 13 runs in 3 overs, while Diya Rana gave away 4 runs in 2 overs. Captain Kusum Goddar conceded 11 runs in her 2 overs.

Syangja’s Jyotsnika Marasini, who played a magnificent half-century and made a decisive contribution to her team’s comprehensive victory, was named the Player of the Match.
