Kaski Thrashed Baglung by 43 runs in Gandaki Cup!

Pokhara, June 30 — In the league-stage match of the 3rd Gandaki Women’s T20 Cricket Tournament 2026 played on Tuesday, Kaski Women registered an impressive 43-run victory over Baglung Women.

As the ground was wet, the match was reduced to 10 overs. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Kaski scored 74 runs without losing a wicket. For Kaski, Chandramaya Baral remained unbeaten on 33 off 33 balls, including 2 fours, while Rekha Tamang contributed an unbeaten 32 off 29 balls with 3 fours. Kaski also added 9 runs through extras to finish on 74/0.

For Baglung, Smarika Chaudhary bowled economically, conceding 10 runs in her 2 overs. Kusum Rai gave away 17 runs in 2 overs, Krishita Kunwar conceded 16 runs in 2 overs, Sanrachana Tamang leaked 14 runs in 2 overs, and Anuja Sunar also conceded 14 runs in her 2 overs. However, none of the Baglung bowlers managed to take a wicket.

Chasing a target of 75 runs, Baglung were restricted to 31/8 in their allotted 10 overs, handing Kaski a convincing 43-run victory.

For Baglung, Anuja Sunar was the top scorer with 10 runs off 21 balls. Supriya Gharti Magar added 7 runs off 10 balls, including one four. Sanrachana Tamang was run out for 1 off 8 balls, while Simran Gharti Chhetri and Megha Khadgi failed to open their accounts. Smarika Chaudhary, Sangita B.K., and Samikshya Kishan also failed to score. Kusum Rai remained unbeaten on 1 off 5 balls. Baglung collected 12 runs through extras.

For Kaski, Sushila Dimdung claimed 1 wicket for 2 runs, including one maiden, in her 2 overs. Sonima Thapa Magar took 1 wicket while conceding 11 runs in 2 overs. Riya Tamang picked up 1 wicket for just 2 runs in her 2 overs. Chandramaya Baral took 1 wicket for 2 runs in 1 over, while Barsha Poudel claimed 2 wickets, giving away 4 runs in her single over. Roji Pariyar and Yashodha Bhujel went wicketless.

Kaski’s Chandramaya Baral, who delivered an impressive all-round performance with both bat and ball, was named the Player of the Match.

The Gandaki Cricket Association has organized the tournament in a league format featuring teams from five districts within the province. Each team will play four matches in the competition.
