Nepal Men’s Cricket Team Registers Dominant Victory Over China

Kathmandu – The Nepal men’s cricket team secured a magnificent victory in the Asian Games men’s cricket qualifiers, defeating China by a massive margin of 221 runs in Singapore.

Chasing Nepal’s daunting target of 314 runs, China were bowled out for just 92 runs with four balls remaining in their innings.

For Nepal, Kushal Malla starred with the ball, taking three wickets in just 1.2 overs, including a maiden over. Sompal Kami and Sandeep Lamichhane claimed two wickets each, while Nandan Yadav picked up one wicket.

For China, Senjian Zheng was the top scorer with 31 runs. Du Jinhao contributed 17 runs, while captain Tian Senqun scored 12.

Earlier, after losing the toss and being sent in to bat, Nepal posted an imposing total. Kushal Bhurtel played a sensational innings of 129 runs off just 43 balls. In the ninth over, he smashed six consecutive sixes, equalling the record previously held by Dipendra Singh Airee.

Meanwhile, Kushal Malla scored a quick-fire 85 runs, and captain Rohit Paudel added a solid 69, helping Nepal reach a formidable total and secure a commanding win.
