Kathmandu – Nepal and the USA have emerged as the main contenders in the ICC Women’s Challenge Trophy 2026 being held in Kigali, Rwanda.
After early matches, the USA leads the table with 2 points from one game, while Nepal, Rwanda, and Italy each have 2 points from two matches. Nepal bounced back from a 44-run loss to the USA by defeating Italy by 50 runs.
Rubina Chhetry starred in Nepal’s win with 4 wickets, while Puja Mahato remains the tournament’s top scorer.
Nepal will next face Rwanda and Vanuatu before entering the second round. The tournament follows a double round-robin format, with the top team at the end crowned champion.
