Kathmandu – The Cricket Association of Nepal has appointed Dipendra Singh Airee as the captain of Nepal’s T20 International team.
CAN announced a 15-member squad under Dipendra’s leadership, with regular captain Rohit Paudel not included in this T20I squad.
Meanwhile, Kushal Malla, Sahab Alam, and Arjun Saud have returned to the national team, while Santosh Yadav has earned his maiden call-up.
The squad includes Dipendra, Sandeep Lamichhane, Kushal Bhurtel, Kushal Malla, Sundeep Jora, Aarif Sheikh, Bashir Ahmad, Gulsan Jha, Lokesh Bam, Nandan Yadav, Santosh Yadav, Arjun Saud, Hemant Dhami, Sahab Alam, and Sher Malla.
Players from the previous T20 World Cup squad—Rohit Paudel, Aasif Sheikh, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, and Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi—have been left out this time. However, they remain part of Nepal’s One Day International (ODI) setup.
Nepal is scheduled to play a T20I series against United Arab Emirates national cricket team starting Monday at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground. The series will be played under floodlights.
