Nepal to Play Five Practice Matches in Sri Lanka and India

Kathmandu – As part of preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup, the Nepali national cricket team will play a series of practice matches in Sri Lanka and India.

The Nepali team, currently training at the ExtraTech Oval in Rupandehi, is scheduled to travel to Sri Lanka in the first week of Magh for training and practice matches. In Sri Lanka, Nepal will play three practice matches against the Sri Lanka ‘A’ team on Magh 6, 8, and 10.

Following the Sri Lanka tour, the team will travel to India. After two days of training in Mumbai on Magh 13 and 14, Nepal will play two T20 matches against the MCA President’s XI organized by the Mumbai Cricket Association.

The first match will be played on Magh 15 in the afternoon, while the second match will be a day-night game on Magh 17.

Nepal will also play its World Cup group-stage matches in Mumbai. The 10th edition of the ICC T20 World Cup, jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, will begin on February 7.

Nepal has been placed in Group C, alongside two-time champions England, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Italy. Nepal will play its first match against England on February 8.
