Kathmandu – In the 2025 cricket season, West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder has continued his impressive form.
Holder has taken 97 wickets in 69 matches so far, placing himself firmly among the players with the most wickets in a calendar year.
Previously, Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan had taken 96 wickets in 61 matches in 2018, a performance that is still regarded as remarkable.
Nepalese spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is also jointly placed 18th on the list. Sandeep claimed 66 wickets in 50 matches in 2019, marking a significant achievement for Nepal in international cricket.
These performances across different years highlight the importance of bowlers who are able to make a strong impact even within a limited number of matches in world cricket.
