Kathmandu – The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced the match schedule for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier, which is set to be hosted in Nepal. A total of 10 nations will participate in the tournament.
According to the schedule released by CAN today, Nepal has been placed in Group B. The Nepali women’s cricket team has reached the Global Qualifier for the first time after successfully passing the Asia Qualifier.
Nepal’s group includes Scotland, Thailand, the Netherlands, and Zimbabwe.
The tournament will be held from January 14 to February 1. Group A consists of Bangladesh, Namibia, Uganda, the United States, and Papua New Guinea.
CAN stated that the matches will be played at the Mulpani Cricket Ground and the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.
Nepal will play its first match against Thailand on January 18, which will also be the opening match of the tournament. The match will be held at the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground. From each group, the top three teams will qualify for the Super Six stage.
From the Super Six, the top four teams will secure qualification for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
