NPL: Half-Centuries from Malan and Saud

Kathmandu – Chitwan Rhinos’ opening batters Dawid Malan and Arjun Saud have both scored half-centuries.

 

Both players reached their fifties in the match against Janakpur Bolts at the Kirtipur Cricket Ground. Malan completed his half-century off 38 balls, hitting four sixes and two fours, while Arjun Saud reached his fifty off 37 balls with three sixes and four fours.

 

With this, Malan has become the 18th and Saud the 19th player to score a half-century in the NPL. Their knocks have taken the total number of half-centuries in this edition to 23.

 

Earlier in this season, Chitwan Rhinos’ Ravi Bopara had scored three half-centuries, while Kushal Bhurtel of Pokhara Avengers and Priyank Panchal of Karnali Yaks had scored two each.

 

Similarly, Sudurpaschim Royals’ Binod Bhandari, Josh Brown, Harmit Singh, and Ishan Pandey; Biratnagar Kings’ Lokesh Bam, Martin Guptill, and Basir Ahmad; Pokhara’s Sumit Burmale, Adam Rossington, and Jimmy Neesham; Kathmandu Gorkhas’ John Simpson; and Janakpur Bolts’ Wayne Parnell, Sanjay Krishnamurthy, and Aasif Sheikh have all scored one half-century each.

 

Only Mark Watt of Karnali has scored a century in the ongoing tournament.
