Nepal Enters the Semi-Finals of ACC U-19 Premier Cup After Defeating Hong Kong

Kathmandu – Nepal has entered the semi-finals of the ACC U-19 Premier Cup. In the match held on Thursday in the UAE, Nepal defeated Hong Kong by 120 runs to secure a place in the last four.

 

Chasing Nepal’s target of 271 runs, Hong Kong were bowled out for 151 runs in 40.5 overs. For Hong Kong, captain Shiv Mathur scored 30, Jude Lee 22, Abdul Samad Khan 19, Riyansh Sharma 18, Areej Dar 15, and Aftab Hussain 10 runs.

 

For Nepal, Aparajit Paudel took four wickets, captain Ashok Dhami claimed three, and Dayanand Yadav, Sushil Bahadur Rawal, and Roshan Bishwakarma took one wicket each. Earlier, after winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Nepal scored 270 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Ashok Dhami top-scored with 73 runs. Similarly, Darsh Sonar remained unbeaten on 45, Dilsad Ali scored 32, Sibrin Shrestha 25, Bansh Kshetri 24, Niraj Kumar Yadav 22, and Roshan Bishwakarma 21 runs.

 

For Hong Kong, Daniel Map and Abhimanyu Ganesan took two wickets each, while Preet Manjukiya and Aftab Hussain picked up one wicket each.
