Kathmandu — Lumbini Lions were defeated by Sudurpaschim Royals by 7 wickets.
With this victory, Sudurpaschim has maintained its unbeaten run in the Nepal Premier League. Batting first after losing the toss, Lumbini were bowled out for 143 runs in 19.4 overs. Captain Rohit Paudel scored the highest with 35 runs.
Dilip Nath made 31, D Marky Short and Sumit Maharjan contributed 18 each, Gulbadin Naib scored 11, Sandeep Jora 7, Thomii Darsa and Abhishek Gautam 6 each, Sher Malla 4, while Ruben Trumpelmann was dismissed without scoring.
For Sudurpaschim, Avinash Bohara and Harmit Singh took three wickets each, Hemant Dhami claimed two wickets, and B. Kuggeleijn took one wicket.
Chasing a target of 145, Sudurpaschim reached the total in 18.2 overs with three wickets down. For Sudurpaschim, Binod Bhandari top-scored with 69 runs, and Harmit Singh remained not out on 7, hitting a six off the final ball. Arif Sheikh contributed 39 runs, while Chris Lynn scored 16 and Josh Brown was out for 9.
For Lumbini, Ruben Trumpelmann, Tilak Bhandari, and Abhishek Gautam took one wicket each.
