Janakpur Bolts Choose to Field First After Winning the Toss Against Biratnagar Kings

Kathmandu — Janakpur Bolts have won the toss and elected to field first against Biratnagar Kings.

 

The match, being played at Kirtipur under the Nepal Premier League (NPL), will start at 11:45 AM. Biratnagar has shown a strong presence in the ongoing season.

 

Winning comprehensively in their first match against Pokhara and their second against Kathmandu, Biratnagar is on a smooth path toward the playoffs. After an underwhelming performance last season, Biratnagar are considered strong title contenders this time.

 

The blend of domestic and foreign players has given Biratnagar good momentum. Meanwhile, defending champions Janakpur were stunned by Kathmandu in their first match, losing by 5 wickets.

 

These two teams had met in the opening match of the previous edition, where Janakpur secured a comfortable 8-wicket victory.

 

After 8 matches in the NPL, Kathmandu Gorkhas have played 3 matches, Janakpur Bolts 1 match, and all other teams have played 2 matches each.

Being played for the first time with a parapet and under floodlights, the NPL has created new excitement in Nepali cricket, intensifying the competition on the field.
