Panchal Scores a Half-Century Against Chitwan

Kathmandu – Karnali Yaks’ opening batter Priyank Kirit Panchal has become the second player to score a half-century in the ongoing second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) in Kathmandu.

 

He scored the half-century in the very first match against Chitwan Rhinos. At the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Panchal reached his fifty in 28 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes.

 

In Tuesday’s first match, Chitwan Rhinos won the toss and chose to bowl, after which Karnali Yaks are batting.

 

Earlier, in the season’s opening match against Kathmandu Gorkhas, Janakpur Bolts’ batsman Aasif Sheikh had scored a half-century off 37 balls with 5 fours and 1 six.

 

Eight teams are participating in the tournament, which has been organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and began on Monday.
