Kathmandu – On the second day of the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), two matches are being held today.
In the first match, Chitwan Rhinos and Karnali Yaks—who had both reached the playoffs in the previous season—will face each other.
The match will begin at 11:45 AM at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Last season, Chitwan reached the playoffs by finishing third, but Karnali had defeated them by 21 runs in the Eliminator.
Karnali had qualified for the playoffs after finishing fourth. In the league stage as well, Karnali had secured a five-wicket victory over Chitwan.
The second match of the day will be between Biratnagar Kings and Pokhara Avengers. This match will start at 4 PM at the TU Cricket Ground.
In the first edition of the tournament, both Biratnagar and Pokhara were eliminated in the league stage. Biratnagar had finished fifth and Pokhara seventh.
When these two teams met in the first edition, Biratnagar had defeated Pokhara in a Super Over.
Earlier, in the opening match of the tournament, Kathmandu Gorkhas defeated defending champions Janakpur Bolts by five wickets.
