Kathmandu — For the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), Sudurpaschim Royals have unveiled their official mascot named ‘Baddau’.
The name is derived from the Doteli language, native to the Sudurpaschim region. The mascot, designed in the form of a tiger, symbolizes both the regional culture and local pride. The team revealed the mascot unexpectedly during the inauguration of their Talent Hunt program at the Dhangadhi Cricket Academy (DCA).
Last season’s runner-up, Sudurpaschim Royals, are preparing to enter the tournament this time with the goal of winning the championship. The team has already released its official fan anthem.
The ongoing Talent Hunt at Dhangadhi Cricket Academy will continue until Monday.
The Sudurpaschim Royals squad includes:
Dipendra Singh Airee, Aarif Sheikh, Binod Bhandari, Avinash Bohara, Deepak Bohara, Milan Bohara, Hemant Dhami, Ishan Pandey, Tek Rawat, Naren Saud, Dipendra Thapa, Scott Kuggeleijn, Chris Lynn, Harmeet Singh, and Josh Brown.
The head coach of the team is Jagat Tamata.
