Nepal Defeats ACT in Practice T20 Match, Sandeep Takes 5 Wickets

Kathmandu – Leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane led Nepal to victory in their first practice T20 match against the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) with a five-wicket haul, including a hat-trick.

Nepal defeated ACT by 41 runs. Chasing a target of 178 runs, ACT was bowled out for 136 runs in 17.2 overs.

For Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane took 5 wickets in 4 overs, conceding 31 runs. Karan KC claimed 2 wickets, while Kushal Bhurtel and Rupesh Singh picked up 1 wicket each.

Earlier, after losing the toss and being sent in to bat, Nepal scored 177 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs.

Opener Aasif Sheikh was the top scorer for Nepal with 69 runs off 38 balls, hitting 4 fours and 5 sixes. Captain Rohit Paudel contributed 36 runs.

Nepal is scheduled to play a second T20 match later today, followed by two more T20s and one One Day match against South Australia on August 28 and 30.
